Mrs. Robert Woolworth

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Woolworth, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Sioux City. The Rev. Dwight Webster of the Wesley Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery.

Mrs. Woolworth died Friday night at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness. The former Leslie Grace McGilvera, she was born Sept. 2, 1881, in South Dakota, and was married in Sioux City Jan. 5, 1901. The couple farmed at James from 1901 to 1945, when they moved to Sioux City.

She was a member of the James Methodist Church. Mr. Woolworth died in 1952. She is survived by more than 135 descendants.

Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Douglas, Jeffrey, Lester, Kenneth and Merle Woolworth and Richard Bailey.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Laura Hansen of Penngrove, Calif., Mrs. Ruby Foote of Stanton, Calif.; seven sons, Sylvester and Lee of Sioux City, Glen of Chicago, Roy of Hinton, Lawrence of Anaheim, Calif., and Howard of Snohomish, Wash., and Everett Ball of Valley Ford, Wash.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mabel Henshaw of Sioux City; 47 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
