Mrs. C. J. Vanderloo

Mrs. Clarence (Irene) Vanderloo, 72, lifelong Plymouth county resident, died Thursday (June 21, 1979) at Sioux City St. Luke Hospital after a brief illness.

Services were Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s American Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Harold Norheim officiated and burial was in Merrill Hillside Cemetery under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home, LeMars.

Irene Junck was born July 31, 1907, in Plymouth county to Henry J. and Mathilda Diediker Junck. She married Clarence Vanderloo Jan. 8, 1926, at Chicago.

She was a member of St. John’s American Lutheran church and the American Legion auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband; five sons, Virgil of Ackley, Stanley, Keith and Curtis, all of Merrill and Richard of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Don (Glenda) Donlin and Mrs. Maurice (Bonnie) Blum, both of Merrill, and Mrs. Wendell (Janice) Blankenburg, DesMoines.

Also three brothers, Clarence of Sioux City and Martin and Irvin, both of Hinton; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Scherner of Sioux City, Mrs. Lawrence (Lucille) Eberly, Mrs. Richard (Betty) McNaughton, and Mrs. Wayne (Lavonne) Goodwin, all of Lawton; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
