Christine J. Vondrak
Christine J. Vondrak, 68, route 1, Hinton, died Friday (March 20, 1981) at a Sioux City hospital of a long illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City. Rev. Nicholas Ruba officiated.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
The rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Meyer Brothers Colonial chapel, Sioux City.
Mrs. Vondrak, the former Christine J. Schuttpelz, was born Nov. 12, 1912, in Sioux, but lived most of her life in Plymouth County.
She married Emil A. Vondrak April 30, 1934, in Sioux City. They were engaged in farming for many years. Mr. Vondrak died April 5, 1965.
Survivors are two sons, Elmer of Hinton and E. LaVern of Sioux City; two brothers, Herman “Dick” of Oakhurst, Calif., and Elmer of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Luken, of LeMars, Mrs. Elsie Bartlson and Mrs. Frieda Rodwig, both of Monroe, La., and seven grandchildren.
