Mabel Beaulieu
Mrs. Harold (Mabel E.) Beaulieu, 65, Plymouth county native and life-long resident, died Thursday (March 4, 1982) at St. Joseph’s hospital, Sioux City, after a year’s illness.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, Ellendale. Rev. Dennis Siefcik officiated and burial was in Assumption cemetery, rural Merrill, under direction of the Meyer Bros. Colonial Chapel, Sioux City.
The former Mabel Angove was born Oct. 17, 1916, in Plymouth county to William and Grace Jones Angove. She grew up in Plymouth county and graduated from Central high school in Sioux City. She taught rural Plymouth county schools for several years.
Her marriage to Harold J. Beaulieu took place June 19, 1940, in Omaha. He died Jan. 11, 1976, in Sioux City.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Herbert Angove.
Survivors are four sons, James, Richard and Kenneth, all of Hinton, and William, of Melvin; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Sandra) Yoerger, Cabot, Ark.; sixteen grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Vernon A. of Soldier, and Garland A. of Denver; three sisters, Mrs. Violet Knapp, of Homer, Neb.; Mrs. Viola Brozik, Gregory, S.D.; and Mrs. Evelyn Trometer, of Amarillo, Tex.
