Mrs. Elsa Anderson

Mrs. Elsa Johnson Anderson, 91, of Akron died Sunday (Oct. 28, 1979) in the Akron hospital of a long illness.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Immanuel Lutheran church, Akron. The Rev. Duane Olson officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of the Schroeder funeral home.

A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated.

Pallbearers were Clifford Johnson, Randy Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Chuck Dewey, Raymond Anderson, and Robert Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 11, 1888, in Hallsburg, Sweden. She came to the United States in 1905. She married Carl Johan Johnson Nov. 25, 1908, in Sioux City. They lived in Sioux City, Westfield and Akron. He died Sept. 14, 1947. She married Victor Anderson May 9, 1950 in Sioux Falls, S. D. They lived in Beresford for 18 years. He died June 1, 1968. She entered the Akron nursing home 11 years ago.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Alice Delano of Portland, Ore., Mrs. William (Norma) Heinrikson of Sioux City, Mrs. Lynn (Eleanor) Jarret of Wamie, Ore. and Mrs. Gene (Leone) Dewey of Westfield; three sons, C. Melvin Johnson, Ernest Johnson and Harold Johnson, all of Akron; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two step sons, Harold Anderson of Beresford and Lester Anderson of Centerville, S. D.; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Lillian Hegland of Beresford.
