Larry C. Faust, 69 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at his home.

Funeral Service will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Rexwinkel Funeral Home of Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a private burial at Westfield Township Cemetery in Westfield, Iowa.

Larry Clayton Faust was born on June 7, 1951 in Akron, Iowa to Clifford and Gladys (Kamradt) Faust. He grew up in the Westfield and Akron, Iowa area and attended Westfield schools. During high school he was a member of the student council, school paper, played baseball and basketball, was basketball captain his senior year and homecoming king. Larry graduated from Westfield High School in 1969.

Larry was united in marriage to Rita Kay Dewey on June 23, 1971.

Larry served in the United States Air Force from 1971-1979. He served two years in Vietnam and was stationed in Oklahoma, Texas, and North Dakota. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1979.

Larry moved back to Westfield and worked with his father for two years in the stockyards. He began working at John Morrell in Sioux City and was later transferred to Roland, Iowa. Their family moved to Roland and after four years they moved back to Westfield. Larry transferred back to John Morrell in Sioux City where he worked until he retired in 2010. In January 2020, Larry moved to Le Mars to be closer to his sons, Clint and Brent.

Larry enjoyed Sunday brunches with his sons and grandchildren, golfing, watching Westerns and playing the lottery. Larry also enjoyed spending time with his friends in Roland, where he affectionately earned the nickname ‘Mondello’, Westfield, and later at Regency Villa in Le Mars.

Larry is survived by his sons: Clint (Amber) Faust of Le Mars and Brent Faust of Le Mars; grandchildren: Calin, Kyler, Elizabeth, Alexis, Ashlee, and Eliza; sisters in law: Peggy Faust, Marcia Dewey, and Rebecca Dewey; and other relatives.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford (August 2020) and Gladys (December 2020); wife, Rita (1986); brother, David Faust (2009); parents in law, Duane and Dorothy Dewey; and brothers in law: Jerry Dewey, Dennis Dewey, and Les Dewey.
