Wife with Baby Taken After Three Short Years of HappinessMrs. August Kammann died at her home, 4S6 First Avenue NB., Sunday at midnight. The date of her death was the third anniversary of her wedding day. Mrs. Kammann had been ailing for the past eight or nine weeks. She gave birth to a baby March 3, which survived only two hours. The young mother never recovered from the ordeal and shock.
Mrs. Kammann lived all her life in this vicinity. Her maiden name was Johanna Thiel and she was born in Westfield township April 15, 1897. She was united in marriage April 10, 1929, with August Kammann of this city.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, August Kammann, and her brothers, Adolph, Martin, Carl, John, and sisters. Catherine and Clara, and her stepfather. Carl Toben, of Westfield, and many friends.
The funeral will be held today at the residence at 1:30 with services at 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran church, the pastor. Rev. J. J. Vollmar, officiating. Mrs. Kammann was widely known in a large circle of friends and her untimely death is mourned by all who knew her.
