MRS. F. THIEL SUMMONED AT HOME IN LE MARS
Mrs. Fred Thiel died at her home in LeMars, June 25, 1949, after an illness of two years.
Sophia Helen Schilling was born in Harvel, 111., March 26, 1891, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Schilling, and came to Plymouth county with her parents in 1898. She was married October 7, 1929, at Yankton, S. D., to Fred Thiel, who survives her. They lived four years in Johnson township and four years in Westfield before moving to LeMars.
Mrs. Thiel is survived by two brothers, Ed. Schilling, of New Douglas, 111., and Walter Schilling, of LeMars. and four sisters, Mrs. H. Ludwig, of Craig; Mrs. D. M. Burkett, of Sioux City; Mrs. Emil Klave, of LeMars, and Mrs. George Kohler, of Temple City, Calif. A brother died in 1914
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon of last week at the home and at St. John's American Lutheran Church, with Rev. L. E. Reyelts officiating Interment, was in Grant township Lutheran cemetery.
Among the relatives in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dewey, Mr. and Mrs. John Neunaber and Frank Neunaber, of Akron, and Mrs. Delia Warren, of Santa Monica, Calif.
