Death of Mrs. Ferdinand Krause

Mrs. Ferdinand Krause died at her home in Lincoln Township on Sunday at five o'clock and the funeral will be held in the Lincoln township Lutheran church on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock conducted by Rev. George Hartman, pastor of the church. Deceased was forty-six years of age in January. Her maiden name was August Muecke and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Muecke who died on the same day a little more than two years ago.

She was united in marriage with Ferdinand Krause on December 13, 1876, in Hungerford township and was the mother of four children, the eldest twenty-two and the youngest fifteen years of age who with a loving husband survive her. They had been married twenty-five years in December of this year and plans had already been made to celebrate the silver wedding. Mrs. Krause had been in poor health for about four months and about a month ago was taken suddenly sick on the road home from LeMars from which she was dangerously sick for several days. She began to recover from that sickness and was gaining in strength when on Thursday last, she was again attacked, her heart giving her much trouble. She grew rapidly worse despite the efforts of physicians and on Sunday evening passed to her reward in the arms of her husband.

She was a good Christian woman and was highly respected by all who knew her. The bereaved family has the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement.
