Henry Kleihauer
Henry A. Kleiihauer, 73, Akron, died Saturday (Nov. 15, 1980) at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated with burial in Riverside cemetery under direction of Schroeder funeral home, Akron.
Cheryl Plueger and Vernon Jurgensen sang a duet, “How Great Thou Art” and the congregation sang “Softly and Tenderly”. Pam Richards was organist.
Pallbearers were Marvin Hitzemann, Arnold Hitzemann, Arvel Jurgensen, Donald Neunaber, Charles Milbrodt and Jim Uithoven.
A prayer service was held Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Kleihauer was born Sept. 23, 1907, at Akron. He farmed for 58 years near Akron, retiring to Akron in 1974.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Meske and Mrs. Grace Meske, both of Akron, five nephews and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bertha Eden Kleihauer; and two brothers, George and Martin Kleihauer.
