MRS. JOUSTRA DIES

Was Member of Well Known Pioneer Family of Akron Vicinity

Akron Register Tribune: After a brief illness, Mrs. John Joustra died at her home northwest of Akron in Union County, S.D., Monday evening, December 5, 1927, of pneumonia following childbirth, the baby preceding its mother in death.

Amelia May Hoffman was born January 20, 1898, I Akron, Iowa, where she spent her girlhood. She was united in marriage with John Joustra on December 2, 1919, at Le Mars, Iowa. They have sinc resided in the vicinity of Akron and in Union County, S.D.

She leaves to mourn her untimely departure her husband and three children, Cleo, Clifford and Delbert Joustra; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Hoffman; two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Waterbury and Mrs. Celia Hunnel, and three brothers, Charlie, George, and Ira Hoffman, all of Union County, S.D., except her twin sister, Mrs. Celia Hunnel, of Salida, Colo.

Mrs. Joustra was for a number of years a faithful member of the Church of Christ f this city. She was a devoted wife and mother and a valued friend and neighbor. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the community in this sad affliction.

Funeral services were held here in the Christian church Friday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. C. Davis, at 2 p.m. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.

Relatives who came from a distance to attend the funeral were: Mrs. Celia Hunnel of Salida, Colo., twin sister of the deceased, and her brother-in-law, Rev. R. D. McCance, of Modale, Iowa.
