Ruth A. Harrington

Ruth A. Harrington, 87, Green Bay went to be in the arms of our Lord and Savior on Monday, September 23, 2002, at Saint Vincent Hospital.

Ruth was born on June 17, 1915, in Akron, Iowa, the daughter of the late Percy W. and Helen D. (Boden) Harrington. She was a graduate of Le Mars High School. Ruth was a Medical Secretary at the Great Lakes Naval Hospital. She liked to swim and enjoyed playing basketball. More recently Ruth had a fondness for the Opera and liked listening to classical music. She cherished the many times spent watching movies with her best friend Cathy. Ruth was a very kind and compassionate lady and ad a special love for animals.

Ruth will be missed by her son and daughter-in-law David Walter and Kaen Dmytro, Craig, Colo.; one granddaughter Kimberly Ann Dmytro, her loving brother and sister-in-law Earl and Peg Harrington, Green Bay; two nieces Janice Burns, Plover; Jean West, Pittsburgh, Penn.; two nephews Timothy (Suzanne) Harrington Encinitas, Calf; Thomas (Victoria) Harrington Wauwatsa and a special and dear friend Cathy Vanden Langenburg, Green Bay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 413 St. John Street with Msgr. Roy Klister officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery Akron, Iowa.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Odd Fellow Rebekah Home for all of their warmth and kindness.
