To my father, from Tommi, "Gary Hanson was an amazing man. As a child I remember the rides on the tractors and the explorations on the farm. He was a dedicated man to his family and his friends. If anyone needed help, he was the man to call. Never failing at making you smile, his actions would fill your heart with joy. Almost every year he took the Big Guys through the homecoming parade. My father worked not only as a farmer, but also as a skilled plumber. Very active in the Elk Point United Parish Church, he volunteered to work for many activities including the service auction. Life will never be the same without my father. We give our thanks for the strength and open arms of the community. May my father rest in peace. God Bless. I love you, daddy."
To my father from Jamie, "Dad, there are no words to say to explain the way I feel other than I am sorry and that I will never forget you and I wish we could have had more time together. I love you."
To my father from Joey, "Dad, there's not enough time in a day to tell everyone how much I love you. You were the best father anyone could have ever had. I am so sorry we didn't get to spend more time together but the time we did spend together will forever be cherished. I love you and miss you very much. "
