Frank T. Ludwig, 47, a lifelong resident of Remsen, died Friday (December 6, 1963) in a Cherokee hospital. He had been in failing health for the last year and was hospitalized the last two months.

Mr. Ludwig was born Feb. 4, 1916, at Remsen. He married Harriet Schnepf Aug. 17, 1939, at Oyens. The Ludwigs farmed near Remsen and raised livestock. They moved to Remsen two years ago. Mr. Ludwig was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Lions club and Luxemburg brotherhood.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Michael of Remsen; four daughters, Mrs. Paul Tamisiea of Missouri Valley, Sister Mary Nicolita O.S.F. of Dubuque, Sharon and Toni, both at home; two grandchildren and 10 sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary Catholic church in Remsen with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Francis P. Schultes officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
