Alvin C. Frerichs

Alvin Carl Frerichs, 69, Akron, died Friday (Oct. 29, 1982) of an apparent heart attack while working on a farm.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1 at St. John's Lutheran church, Preston township, rural Akron. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Soloist was Beverly Van Buskirk, who sang "Beautiful Savior" and "How Great Thou Art", accompanied by Mrs. William Van Buskirk, organist.
Pallbearers were Dale Frerichs, Raymond Frerichs, Randy Frerichs, Gerald Frerichs, Scott Frerichs, Eugene Frerichs, and Kenneth Frerichs.

Mr. Frerichs was born August 10, 1913, in Preston township, rural Akron. He married Ella Beeck Dec. 9, 1936, at St. John's Lutheran church. He farmed in the Akron area until retiring in 1975.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie; one son Robert L. of Akron; three daughters, Mrs. Bill (Elaine) Dunbar of Denver, of Denver, Color., Mrs. Richard (Judy) Bauerly of Le Mars, and Mrs. Richard (Karen) Carner of Jeffrey City, Wyo.; two brothers, Marvin and Arnold, both of Sioux City and eight grandchildren.
