Norma J. Beeck
Norma Jean Beeck, 63, of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Akron, Iowa, died Friday, April 18, 1997, at the Rogers Rehabilitation and Living Center following a brief illness.
Services were held April 23, 1997, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Akron, Iowa, with the Rev. William Flemr officiating. Music was "The Old Rugged Cross" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" sung by Roxanne Larson, accompanied by marietta Nielsen on the organ. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Akron under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron, Iowa.
Casketbearers were Charlie Von Hagel, Curt Von Hagel, Clark Von Hagel, Bob Popken, Joshua Kremer and Jim Feauto.
Mrs. Beeck was born February 7, 1934, in Geddis, South Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Permann) Stotz. She married Carl Beeck June 20, 1952, in Akron. He died in 1968. She had been a longtime Akron resident and member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed playing cards and hidden puzzle books.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Robert and Kathleen of Hawarden, Iowa; four daughters, Carla Kellen of Ames, Iowa, Susan Elkins of Rogers, Arkansas, Becky and her husband, Allen "Jr." Jest, of Mason City, Iowa, and Jane and her husband, Curtis Junge, of Eielson AFB, Arkansas; a step-son and his wife, DAvid and Jenny of Tacoma, Washington; her mother of Panama City, Florida; a sister and her husband, Shirley and William McNamara of Panama City, Florida; three brothers, Butch of Panama City, Denny and his wife, Sonja, of Omaha and Marvin of Montana; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy; a daughter, Tammy; her father; and a brother, Ken.
