Isabel Bullington

Isabel Anna Bullington, 89, of Akron, died Saturday (July 9,1983) at Akron Community Hospital after a short illness.

Services were at l:30p.m. Monday at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Rev. James Ransom officiated. Burial was in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

The former Isabel Cox was born Feb.20,1894. At Haiti, S.D.,to 01iver G. and Isabel Chambers Cox. She lived in St. Joseph, Mo., as a child until coming to Plymouth County in 1932. Her marriage to LeRoy Bullington took place June 26,1934, in LeMars. They lived in Union and Stanton Townships until his retirement in 1971 when they moved to Akron. Mr. Bullington died in 1975.

She was a 38-year member of Union Township Presbyterian Church and served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Survivors are a son, Homer Dumas of Akron; a brother, William of California; two sisters, Mabel Long of Hemet, Calif., and Florence Lard of lola, Kan.; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents,
