HARLEY J. CASKEY DIES SUDDENLY OF HEART ATTACK

Rites For Well-Known Akron Man Will Be Held Thursday

Harley J. Caskey passed away Tuesday morning of a sudden heart attack at his home, southeast of town, at the age of 47 years, 11 months, and 9 days.

Harley John Caskey was born December 15, 1914, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caskey, Sr., in Akron. He attended school here, and on October 14, 1941, was united in marriage with Mary Ellen ("Marie") Faust at Pender, Nebr. To this union was born one son, joseph Dean ("Joe"), December 18, 1947, and they raised a foster son, Levi Hughes.

He entered army service April 24, 1941, where he spent four years and was discharged September 15, 1945.

Harley was a kind aand devoted husband and father. He was well liked by the many who knew him; a good nieghbor and helpful to everyone. He will be sincerely missed by al who knew him.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; his son, Joe, at home, and a foster son, Levi Hughes, of Atlantic, Georgia; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caskey, Sr.; five brothers, Charles and Daryl, of Akron; Harold, of Elk Point, S. D.; Freeman, and Eldon, of Sioux City; four sisters, Myrtle Talbott, of Elk Point; Ollie Peck, of Hawarden; Anna Belle Harkness and BErniece Hughes, of Sioux City.

Funeral services Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in First Church of Christ, REvs. Richard Brown and Dean Orris officiating. Vocalists, Mildred and Marvin Klemme, Mrs. Vint Adams, accompanist.

Pallbearers, Alva Port, Ray Welch, Mike Welch, Alfred Knecht, Leonard Buryanek, and Vincent Feauto. Interment in Riverside cemetery.
