ESTEEMED AKRON WOMAN CALLED BY DEATH LAST WEEK

Rites On Wednesday Of Last Week For Mrs. Mamie Rozell

The passing of a well-known and esteemed woman of this community, Mrs. Mamie E. Rozell, on October 5, 1958, at the Akron Hospital, was noted in these columns last week. He age was 73 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

Mamie Ellen Tucker was born July 9, 1885, in Plymouth County, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Tucker, early day residents.

On January 27, 1903, she was united in marriage with Arthur L. Rozell. For twenty years they lived on a farm south of Akron. In 1942 they moved to Akron, where he husband operated a harness shop until his death on December 30, 1946. Also preceding her in death was their elder child, Mable Willer.

She is survived by 12 children; mrs. John Neumber, of Akron; Arthur, Jr., of Hawarden; Mrs. herm Moss, of Sioux City; Arden, of Akron; Mrs. WArd Smith, of O'Neill, Nebr.; Arvil, of Hawarden; Mrs. Wm. Hartman, of Hawarden; Alva, of Le Mars; Mrs. Robert Smith, of Akron; Archie, of Los Angeles; Arlo, of Akron; and Miss Muriel, of Denver, Colo.; and by 35 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters and four brothers: Mrs. T. B. Byrne, of Le Mars; Mrs. Walter Harvey, of Marcus, Iowa; Mrs. Dan Royer, of Winnebago, Minn.; Mrs. Leon Jenkins, of Barret, Minn.; Ale Tucker, of Madison, S. D.; Pearl Tucker of Akron; Charles Tucker, of Le Mars, and George Tucker of Sioux City.

She has been a member of Wesley Methodist church. A devoted wife and mother and valued friend and neighbor, she will be sincerely mourned and missed.

Funeral services were held in Wesley Methodist church Wednesday afternoon of last week, Rev. Chester L. Guinn officiating. Mrs. Hugh Swift sang "In the Garden," and a mixed quartet, comprised of Mary Lundberg, Berdice Kerr, Frank Mather, and Harry Nelson, sand "Be Still My Soul." Mrs. Harry Nelson was accompanist. Grandsons of the deceased acting as pallbearers were Virgil Willer, Donald Neunaber, Duane Smith, Richard Rozell, Le Roy Rozell and Randall Rozell. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.

Children of the deceased in attancance from a distance were; ARchie Roxell, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Miss Muriel Rozell, of Denver, Colo.
