Archie Rozell
Archie Rozell, 72, Sioux City, Iowa, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1993, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Allen Bidne will officiate. burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Akron, with military graveside rites conducted by Hoschler Post 185, American Legion of Akron. Visitation was from 2 to 8:ep p.m. Tuesday at Schroeder funeral home in Akron.
Pallbearers will be David Rozell, Dennis Rozell, Jack Miller Jr., Kevin Miller, Keith Rollins and Tim Clarey.
Music will be congregational singing of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "The Old Rugged Cross," Marietta Nielsen will be organist.
Mr. Rozell was born April 10, 1921, on the family farm southeast of Akron, the son of Arthur and Mamie (Tucker) Rozell. He attended country schools near Akron and worked on farms until 194, when he entered the U. S. army. He served from 194 until 1946. He married Dolores Lamoureux June 3, 1946, in Akron. He worked on farms near Akron before moving to Sioux City, where he worked for Sioux City, where he worked for Sioux City Battery and also for Sioux Tools for many years.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Calvin and his wife, Becky of Orlando, Fla. and Roger of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; brothers, ARvil and Alva, both of Le Mars and Arlo of Akron; and four sisters, Mae Neunaber of Akron, Mary Moss of Sioux City, Merva Hartman of Hawarden, and Mona Smith of Akron.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, arthur and arden; and three sisters, Mabel Willer, Marle Smith and Muriel Kruger.
