WELL KNOWN AKRON BUSINESS MAN DIES MONDAY MORNING

Arthur L. Rozell Had Resided Many Years In This Community

Arthur L. Rozell, a well known Akron business man, passed away at his home here Monday morning, December 30, 1946, at the age of 62 years, 10 months, and 1 day following a brief illness. At the University hospital in Iowa City he underwent an operaton the 10th of last October to seek relief and was given all the medical and loving care possible. Through all his suffering he never complained.

Arthur L. Rozell was born February 29, 1884, near Fairviw, South Dakota. When a young man he moved to this community with his parents, James and Emma Rozell. On January 27, 1903, he was united in marriage with Mamie Tucker. This happy union was blessed with thirteen children--seven daughters and six sons.

Mr. Rozell and family lived on a farm south of Akron for twenty years. In 194 they moved to Akron. He has conducted a harness shop in Akron the past seven years.

Mr. Rozell was know as a kind and loving husband and father and was highly esteemed as a neighbor and friend, standing for high ideals. No sacrifice was too great for him to make in behalf of his family. He has beren a member of the Akron Methodist church for the past forty-five years.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie, seven daughtrs and six sons: Mable (Mrs. Henry Willer), Mae (Mrs. John Neuaber) and Arthur, Jr., of Akron; Mary (Mrs. Herman Moss), of Sioux City; Arden, of Akron; Marie (Mrs. Ward Smith), of Merrill; Arvil, of Hawarden; Merva (Mrs. Wm. Hartmen); of Hawarden; Alva, of Le Mars; Mona (Mrs. Robert Smith). ARchie, Arlo, and Miss Muriel, of Akron; also by 27 grandchildren; three brothers, Seth Rozell, of Lake Nebageman, Wis.; Emery Rozell, of Plattsmouth, Nebr.; Fred Rozell, of Hawarden, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Tucker, of Madison, S. D., and Mrs. Minnie Williams, of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. A. A. Howe, the pastor. Interment was in Rivreside cemetery. Local business houses closed today during the funeral hour as a mark of respect.
