WILLIAM PENDLETON IS CALLED BY DEATH OCT. 31st

A life-long resident of Plymouth County, William Pendleton, died in the Le Mars Hospital Monday, October 31, after about a month's illness, aged 83 years.

Mr. Pendleton was born October 3, 1883, near Akron, to pioneer parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pendleton, and grew to manhood here. He was married here to Henrietta Jordin, September 9, 1903. They farmed in this county until retiring in 1965 and moving to Le Mars. He was a member of the First Church of Christ.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Vernon, of le mars; a daughter, Mrs. Opal Steineke of Sioux Falls, S. D.; a sister, Mrs. Leon Ogden of Akron; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held here Wednesday of last week in the First Chruch of Christ, Rev. Beryle Hicks officiating and burial was in Akron Riverside Cemetery.
