Grover C. Jones

Grover C, Jones, 87, formerly of Akron, died Friday, Oct. 10, while visiting a daughter at Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Schroeder funeral home at Akron, with Rev. Michael Strom of First Baptist church. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.

He was born Oct. 5, 1882 in West Virginia and married Hazel Barr in 1910. She died in 1925.

He married Marie Tracy Feb. 9, 1935, in Sioux City. She died several years ago. He moved to El Monte, Calif., in 1935, engaged in roofing business, retiring in 1957.

Survivors are a son, four daughters, two grandsons and four great-grandsons.
