Life’s End. WM. ENGELBRECHT, NATIVE OF REMSEN, RITES SET TUESDAY.
William G. Engelbrecht, 79, a former Remsen resident, died at the Leeds nursing home early Sunday after a long illness.
He was born May 9, 1888, at Remsen and farmed there until 1938. He had lived in Leeds the last four years.
His marriage to Anna Rupke took place in 1934. She preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Moeller funeral home, Remsen, Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate and burial will be in the Remsen city cemetery.
A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Klosterman, Marion, and Mrs. Helen Foster, Recida, Calif.; one son, Lyle, Sioux City; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Alfred, Emil and John of Le Mars and Charles in California, and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Rann, Remsen, Mrs. George Krantz, Canistota, S.D., and Vera. – Le Mars Globe Post, July 24, 1967, page 6.
