Obituary. Frank Engelbrecht.
Frank E. Engelbrecht, 80, Remsen, died Saturday morning (Aug. 5, 1972) at Floyd Valley hospital. He had been hospitalized three days and had been in failing health the last year.
Mr. Engelbrecht was born June 11, 1892, at Alvord, a son of the late Henry and Margaret (Hagge) Engelbrcht. He married Dora Sanny Feb. 26, 1916, at Remsen.
A retired farmer, Mr. Engelbrecht moved into the Remsen area when a young child. He retired from farming and moved to Remsen in 1953.
Funeral services were Monday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen, Rev. Paul Wuebben officiating.
Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home at Remsen.
Pallbearers were Elmer Bogh, Elmer Erichsen, Everald Paskert, Ray Grage, Lester Bush and Dr. Dale Drum.
Survivors are a son, Donell of Remsen; brother, Walter of Remsen; a sister, Mrs. Leonard (Olga) Wevik of Remsen.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two sons, Virgil and Russell, in infancy, a sister, Mrs. Hans Borm and a brother George. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Aug. 7, 1972, page 10.
