Mrs. Miena [Minne] Wullstein, wife of Jacob Wullstein, died at her home in Remsen on Tuesday, September 15, of pneumonia. Deceased was born in Lemsen Brauchweig, Germany, on the 17 day of October 1835. At the age of twenty two she was united in marriage to Frederick Mier [Meier], came with him to this country and in 1882, finding a home in South Dakota. Fourteen years later Frederick Meier died and the widow returned to Europe but came back eighteen months later making her home in Sioux City, where nine months later she formed the acquaintance of Mr. Wullstein and became his wife. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Sept 22, 1903, page 1.

Note: Minne does not have a gravestone in the Remsen City Cemetery, however Jacob Wullstein purchased a half-lot of four grave plots in 1896. There aren’t any gravestones on this half-lot. It is likely that Minne is the 3rd wife of Jacob Wullstein and is buried in the Remsen cemetery, Block 1 East, Lot 109.
