Obituary. Mrs. Sidney E. Meyer.
Mrs. Sidney E. Meyer, 82, Sioux City, a life-long northwest Iowa resident, died Tuesday (June 24, 1975) at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of five weeks.
Mrs. Meyer, the former Amy A. Johnson, was born on March 4, 1893, at Marcus, and was married to Sidney E. Meyer in April of 1917 in Cherokee.
The Meyers lived in Remsen for most of their married life before moving to Sioux City in 1950.
Mrs. Meyer was a member of St. Luke Lutheran church.
Survivors are her husband, two sons, Milton E., of Sioux City and Robert of Remsen; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke Lutheran church. Rev. Jan F. Bengston will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery.
There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson-Berger funeral home in Morningside.
Pallbearers will be Kevin, Robbi and Michael Meyer, Donnel Engelbreck, Marlin Idso and John Papajohn.
