Preston Woman Dies In Rochester

Mrs. Charles Oltmanns Spent Life Here

Mrs. Frances Oltmanns of Preston township died August 1 in Rochester, Minn., after a six months illness.

Frances Braun, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Braun, was born May 18, 1911, in this county and was married to Charles Oltmanns in Sioux city, September 25, 1929. In addition to her husband she is survived by her father, Peter Braun of Akron; two brothers, Clarence Braun of Merrill and Frank Braun of LeMars, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Russell of LeMars and Mrs. Otto Osterbuhr of Akron. Mrs. Oltmanns' mother and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Struble at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 4, and burial was in the Craig cemetery.

Mrs. Oltmanns was a member of the Ladies Aid in Struble.

The remains were taken to the farm home in Preston township Sunday afternoon.

Wiltgen's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Services For Resident Of Preston Twp. Were This Afternoon

Funeral Services were held this afternoon at 4 o'clock for Mrs. Charles Oltmanns who passed away at Rochester, Minnesota on Friday, August 1, where she had submitted to treatment for a brain tumor. The 9:30 services will be held at the St. Joseph's church, Struble, and interment will be in the Craig Cemetery.

Mrs. Oltmanns, nee Frances Braun, was born May 18, 1911 on a farm in Preston township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Braun. On September 25, 1929, she was united in marriage to Charles Oltmanns at Sioux City. She was 36 years, 2 months and 13 days old at the time of her death. She was a member of the Struble ladies aid.

Mrs. Oltmanns leaves to mourn her untimely death her husband, her father, Peter Braun of Akron; two brothers, Clarence Braun of Merrill and Frank Braun of LeMars, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Charles Russell, LeMars and Mrs. Otto Osterbuhr of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers.

Arrangements were made by Wiltgen's Funeral Home.
