Charles Eilert Oltmanns
Charles Eilert Oltmans, 61, Craig farm operator and livestock raiser died Tuesday at Floyd Valley hospital where he had been ill several months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran church, Craig, with Rev. Ernest Christensen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A lifelong Plymouth county resident, Mr. Oltmanns was born Aug. 26, 1906, near Craig, a son of the late Carol and Tena Pageler Oltmanns.
His marriage to Florence K. Herzberg took place June 30, 1948, in Johnson township. She survives, as do four brothers, Otto and Fred, both of LeMars; Henry, Ireton and Herman , Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Anna Peters, and a brother, Elmer.
