Karl Emil Hartmann, 52, formerly of Akron, died Tuesday, September 11, 1973 at the hospital in Akron after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Durwood Clauson officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harvey Peters, Paul Von Hagel, Andy Johnson, Phil Beaubian, Jr., Eldon Von Hagel and Roscoe Small.

Mr. Hartmann was born July 27,1921 at Akron. He attended Akron public schools. He was employed in a service station and later attended Sioux City barber college. He operated barbershops at Akron and at Jefferson, S, D., until moving to Colorado. He operated a barbershop in Denver and returned to Akron after becoming ill last May.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Margaret Hartmann of Akron, an adopted son, Dicky Duane Hartmann of Paton; five brothers, Rudy, Gary, and Edward, all of Akron, Ben of Evanston, Ill., and Raymond of Boulder, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Eichacker, Mrs. Henry S. Wilier and Mrs. Ramon Jesperson, all of Akron.
