Mrs. George W. Pike

Mrs. George W. Pike, 91, Akron, Iowa died Tuesday, February 6 at the Akron Nursing Home.

The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9 at the Schroeder Funeral Home at Akron. The Rev. Burdette officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Akron. Pall bearers were Donald Powell, Larry Clarey, Wayne Miller, Jim Niven, Bill Joseph and Denny Powell.

The former Nancy Allen was born August 13, 1881, at Elk Point, SD. She was married January 4, 1903, at Elk Point and the couple farmed near Elk Point He died in October 1936. She entered the nursing home in December.

Survivors include a son, Eldwin of Akron; daughters, Mrs. Helen Joseph of Westfield, Mrs. Mable McCorkell, Mrs. Iva Powell and Mrs. Ruby Frahm, all of Akron; seven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
