Leo B. Dunham

Leo B. Dunham, 90, of Elk Point, South Dakota, died Wednesday, February 7, 2001, at Prairie Estates Care Center in Elk Point, South Dakota.

Funeral services were at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2001 at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa with Mike Inman Chaplin with Hospice of Siouxland officiating. Visitation was Sunday, February 11, 2001 from 1 to 5 p.m. with a prayer service at 2 p.m. at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron, Iowa. Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron were in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dunham was born December 31, 1910 in Union County, South Dakota, the son of Charles and Stella (Dunn) Dunham. Mr. Dunham farmed in the Elk Point area for many years. In his free time, Mr. Dunham enjoyed horses and collecting comic books.

Mr. Dunham is survived by one sister, Betty Jacobson, of Akron, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Dunham, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Nettie Dunham, of Alcester, South Dakota

He was preceded in death by his parents; 8 brothers, Orville, who died as an infant, George, Charles, Walter, Donald, Roy, Elmer, and Robert; 3 sisters, Dorothy, who died as an infant, Ruth, and Louise; along with many
nieces and nephews.

Refreshments will be served at Immanuel Lutheran Church following the Burial at Riverside Cemetery. The pianist was Carol Harris accompanying Phyllis Frisk, who sang "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden".

Pallbearers were Garry Jacobson, Jack Friske, Tommy Dunham, Charles Crow, Ryan Jacobson, and Clayton Jacobson.
