Died. Mrs. Hansen, wife of Matt [Mathias] Hansen, of Meadow township, died at the Samaritan hospital on Sunday evening. She was taken to the hospital on April 17, to undergo an operation.
Mrs. Hansen was a native of Germany, having been born in Stolk, Schleswig, September 11, 1865, and came to this country when quite young. She was united in marriage with Matt Hansen in Benton county February 17, 1883, and soon after they located on a farm near Remsen. She leaves a husband and six children to mourn her death.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s church in Remsen yesterday. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, May 3, 1907, page 4.

Mrs. M.H. Hansen of Marion township, died at the Samaritan hospital in Sioux City Sunday evening. Mrs. Hansen had been taken to Sioux City to be operated upon on April 17. She was born in Germany, September 11, 1865, and was united in marriage with Matt [Mathias] Hansen in Benton county, February 17, 1883, and soon after they located on a farm near Remsen.
