HENRY SANNY FUNERAL RITES HELD TUESDAY.
Henry Sanny, 65, well known resident of the Remsen community for the past 42 years, died in the home of his son, John Sanny, seven miles northeast of Remsen Sunday evening, August 21.
Mr. Sanny had enjoyed apparent good health until June 24, when he began to suffer from heart trouble. Other complication developed, and his condition became steadily worse until death overtook him.
Henry Sanny was born in Freibourg, Germany, May 15, 1867. He came to the United States alone when a youth of 17. In 1890 he came to Remsen, and in the following year was united in marriage with Else Frondt, of Keystone, Iowa, also a native of Germany.
Eight years ago Mr. and Mrs. Sanny retired from active farming, leaving their farm which they had managed successfully for many years in the hands of a daughter and soninlaw.
Mr. Sanny is survived by his widow, seven children, one brother and one sister.
The deceased was a prominent member of the Masonic order and the officers and member of that fraternity in Remsen had charge of the funeral services Tuesday afternoon. – Le Mars Globe Post, August 29, 1932, page 1.
