WAS SUDDENLY-STRICKEN.
Pioneer Resident Drops Dead from Heart Failure.
Charles Rosburg, an old resident of Plymouth county, died very suddenly at his home in Remsen on Tuesday night about ten o’clock. He had just returned from town and sat down to join in a game of cards with the family, when he suddenly expired.
Mr. Rosburg was born in Davenport in 1856. When a child his parents moved to Newhall, Benton county, where he grew up on a farm and attended school. He was united in marriage in 1879 to Miss Marie Sagner. Thirty-seen years ago they came to Plymouth county and settled on a farm where they lived until fourteen years ago when they took up their residence in Remsen. He leaves to mourn his death, two sons, Lewis, of Garretson, S.D., Gustave living on the home place, a daughter, Mrs. Fred Erdmann, of Luverne, Minn., and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Frank Rothlisberger, of Meadow township, and four grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, John Rosburg, of Mercid, California and Henry Rosburg, of Slayton, Minn.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at St. Paul’s church in Remsen, Rev. Joegersen officiating.
Mr. Rosburg was an upright citizen and was highly esteemed by many neighbors and friends. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Friday, April 1, 1921, page 1.

Note: Charles Rosburg is buried in the Remsen City Cemetery.
