Funeral Services Held for Fred LaBahn

Fred LaBahn, 69, of Rt. 1 Akron, who made his home with the Clifford Jensen family, passed away suddenly July 19, 1954. He had been ailing for several years but had been up and around.

Fred LaBahn was born April 3, 1885, in Stanton Township. He was a lifelong Plymouth County resident. He was united in marriage to Josephine Poradek in February, 1913. They farmed in Johnson and Liberty Townships, and retired in 1937, moving to the present farm in 1935. Mrs. LaBahn preceeded him in death in 1937.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Mauer Funeral Home at LeMars. Burial was in the Floyd Park Cemetery of Sioux City.

Survivors include two brothers, William LaBahn of Sioux City, and Alfred LaBahn of Merrill, and several nieces and nephews.
