Harry Hancer, 74, lifelong rsident of Merrill died Sunday at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Hancer was born June 8, 1877. He married Gertrude Winter at LeMars on September 18, 1901.
Mr. and Mrs. Hancer celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last September.
Survivors are the widow; two sons, Alvin of Decorah, Iowa, and Kermit of Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Steffen and Mrs. Rose Devorak, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Ethel Hodgson of Vermillion, S.D.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Neilson of Hyde Park, Utah, and Mrs. E. M. Winter of Hinton.
Funeral services was held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Merrill, with Rev. D. E. Streffeier officiating.
Burial was in the Merrill Cemetery.
