Motorcycle Accident Cause of Death

George Hauser, 32, died Friday afternoon in a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding when it crashed into a telephone pole at the side of Highway No. 75 between Hinton and Merrill. He was on his way home from LeMars where he spent the forenoon on business. He stopped at Merrill to visit relatives and was on the way to the George Manz garage on the Perry Creek road where he was employed.

Mr. Hauser died soon after reaching the hospital. The physcian said that he suffered a fractured skull, broken ribs, internal injuries, and possibly a broken back. As far as known, there were no witnesses to the accident.

The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Merrill. Rev. J. M. Howdeshell officiating, and internment made in the Merrill Cemetery.

George A. Hauser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Hauser, was born February 22, 1903, at Merrill. He lived most of his life near Merriil and had many friends who mourn his demise. His father died when he was 17 years of age, and he made his home with his sister, Mrs. George Manz, since the death of his mother, five years ago. He leaves to mourn his early passing; one brother, Lewis N. Hauser of Merrill; and four sisters, Mrs. Ada McMeekin, of Ridgeview, S.D., Mrs. Edna Howse of Sioux City, Mrs. Edith Manz and Mrs. Sadie Dreblow, of Hinton; and many friends.
