Grace Beadle Services Held
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 15, at the First Congregational Church in Hudson for Grace Beadle, 45. Mrs. Beadle passed away January 13, at the Rock Valley, Iowa hospital after being hospitalized for one day.
The Rev. Milo Sheldon officiated. Mrs. Ted Feekes was the soloist and the accompanist was Mrs. Tom Tayler.
Pallbearers were Walter H. Bakker, James Cole, Dale Hermanson, Herbert Van Edgom, Ward Miller and Leslie Spies. Interment was at the Eden Cemetery.
Grace Aldena Bakker was born July 9, 1929 to Aldena and Tunis Bakker on a farm near Lake Wilson, Minnesota. In 1935 she moved with her parents to a farm near Hudson. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1947. She attended General Beadle College for one year and the University of South Dakota for three years.
On January 1, 1950 she was married to Earle Beadle at Hudson. They made their home on a farm near Hudson until moving to Sioux County, Iowa in 1966.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hudson, a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Martha Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Earle, of Hudson; two brothers, Gysbert Bakker of Fairview and Simon Bakker of Hudson and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Everhart of Canton.
