Mattie J. Beadle Rites at Hudson

Funeral services for Mattie J. Beadle, 87, of Hudson will be held at the Hudson Congregational church today (Thursday), with the Rev. David Graham officiating.

She was born on September 5, 1872 to Isaac and Sarah (sic--Sara) Small near LeMars. She was married to William T. Beadle on March 15 (error--14), 1901 and they lived on a farm in Sioux County since then.

She was a member of the Congregational church at Hudson for nearly 60 years and was also a Sunday School teacher at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1951.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas of Hudson, John of Dearborn, Mich., and Charles of Arlington, California. Three brothers, Charles Small of Dallas, Texas, William Small of Florida and John Small of Exira, Iowa. Also seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Eden cemetery. Pallbearers are Harold Horst, Curtis Vipond, Merle Vipond, Lyle Boyer, Robert Iverson and Richard Schlup.
