Mrs. Frank Becker Spent 72 Years In Seney Area
Mrs. Frank Becker, 72, a lifelong resident of the Seney vicinity, was buried Sunday afternoon following funeral services at the Seney Methodist church. Mrs. Becker died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 6.
The Rev. Curtis Minter and Rev. M. L. Metcalf conducted the service and interment was in the Seney cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Mrs. Becker, the former Jeannette F. Reeves, was born May 4, 1881 (actually 1880) near Seney. She married Frank Becker Dec. 19, 1900, and they farmed for many years in the Seney area before retiring to live in Seney.
In recent months they have made their home with their son, Floyd, near Seney. Mrs. Becker had returned to Seney to clean her home when she suffered a heart attack.
She is survived by Mr. Becker, a daughter, Mrs. Walter Woodhouse, Hudson, S. D., and a son, Floyd; a granddaughter and four grandsons, and two sisters and three brothers. They are Mrs. Martha Cook, LeMars, and Mrs. R. E. Chambers, Watertown, S. D.; and Bert, William and Clarences Reeves of LeMars.
