Date: April 15, 1954Henry Junck Passed Away Tuesday
Henry Junck, 77, a lifelong resident of Hungerford township, Plymouth County, Iowa excepting the few years he spentin Leeds, died
Tuesday at the home of his son Irvin, three miles east of James, following a prolonged illness.Mr. Junck was born May 26, 1876, on the same farm on which he died. He resided there until 1937 when he retired from farming and located in Leeds, where he lived until June of last year. Mr. Junck married Mathilda Bornholtz in 1899 in Sioux City. She died in 1944.
Mr. Junck was a highly respected among his many friends for his good deeds in the community in which he lived. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Leeds.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence of Sioux City, Martin and Irvin both of Hinton; five daughters, Mrs. Irene Vanderloo of Merrill, Mrs. Mildred Scherner of Sioux City and Mrs. Lucile Eberly, Mrs. Lavonne Goodwin and Mrs. Betty McNaughton, all of Lawton, 20 gandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Calvary Lutheran Church
in Leeds with Pastor Rev. John G. Deterding and
Rev. A.H. Janke of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in the Rademacher Cemetary east of Hinton.
