Patricia J. Wiebersch

Funeral for Mrs. Fred J. (Patricia J.) Wiebersch, 51, longtime Iowa City resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Iowa City. Rev. Eugene Benda will officiate.

Mrs. Wiebersch died Dec. 11, 1986, at her home after a brief illness.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at Calvary Cemetery, LeMars, under direction of the Donahue-Lensing Funeral Home in Iowa City. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in LeMars with Rev. George McFadden officiating.

The former Patricia Allison was born March 21, 1935, in LeMars to Arthur and Marguerite Britt Allison. She attended school in the LeMars area where she graduated from high school. Her marriage to Fred J. Wiebersch took place Sept. 15, 1956, in LeMars.

She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Opti-Mrs. Club and was employed at Mercy Hospital in the payroll and medical records department.

Survivors are her husband of Iowa City; her mother Marguerite Allison of LeMars; a son, Mark, of Iowa City; two daughters, Leicha Schepers of St. Louis and Lori Drake of Chisholm, Minn.; five sisters, Arlene Erdmann, Mary Buckley and Glenda Meis, all of LeMars; Avila McCoy of Omaha and Rosalie Tentinger of Waterloo, and a granddaughter, Amanda.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Church in Iowa City; the Iowa City Hospice or Cancer Research at University Hospitals at Iowa City.
