Stanton Resident Since Infancy Passes Away
Miss Catherine McDermott Was Sufferer From Illness For Many Years
Miss Catherine McDermott, 54, well known resident of Stanton township died at a hospital Sunday. night of cerebral hemorrhage. Miss McDermott, had suffered ill health for eight or ten years.
Miss McDermott was born March 30, 1882, near Elkader, Clayton county, and when she was a year old her parents moved to Stanton township where she spent her life on the farm.
Her brothers and sisters who mourn her death are Mrs. J. L. Bride Yankton, S. D.; Mrs. George Bourdelais, Sioux City; Harry and Joseph McDermott, of Merrill; Mrs. M. J Lucid, Merrill; Mrs. Elizabeth O'Leary, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Frank Smith, Bronson; Mrs. J. W. Connolly, Decatur, Neb.
The funeral will be held at St Joseph church, Neptune, Wednesday, December 2, at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Bernard Kocher will officiate at the mass. Interment will be made in St. Joseph cemetery in Le Mars.
