OBITUARY.
Mrs. Anna Crowe

Mrs. A. F. (Anna) Crowe, 72, died Thursday evening at Floyd Valley hospital, LeMars, after a brief illness. She entered the hospital Tuesday.

Anna Mary Fox was born Sept. 23, 1897, at Wayne, Neb., the daughter of the late Albert and Katherine Groves Fox. She was married Dec. 4, 1918, to Andrew Crowe at Wayne.

Mrs. Crowe was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Santa Maria, 179; Gold Star Mothers; St. James Altar society; MACW (mission club) of St. James; the Royal Neighbors; Foresters; Third Order of St. Francis; American Legion auxiliary and St. Francis Xavier Mission club of which she was secretary.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic church with Rev. John Turza officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Luedtke funeral home.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Third Oder of St. Francis rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Sunday. Parish rosary will be at 8 p.m. and CD of A rosary at 8:30 p.m.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Frances Reindl, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. W. F. Nevew, Boulder, Colo.; two brothers, John Fox, Flandreau, S.D., and George Fox, Wayne, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her husband and by twin sons, William, who died in infancy, and Robert Francis who was killed in the European theatre during World War II, while serving with the Army, and by a brother, Thomas Fox.

Mrs. Crowe Wills Bulk of Her Estate to St. James, Gehlen.

Terms of the will of the late Mrs. Anna Crowe, LeMars, reveal most of her estate was given St. James Catholic church and Gehlen schools, LeMars.

Inventory of the estate has not been filed.

The pastor of St. James church was willed $700 for high masses for the Crowe family; Society for the Propagation of Faith, New York, $650; Missionary Assn. of Catholic Women, Milwaukee, $500; and MACW, Milwaukee, $150 for Gregorian masses for the deceased and her family.

Proceeds from the sale of her home were willed to St. James church for the benefit of Gehlen schools to apply on the church’s debt to Gehlen.

Remainder of the estate including personal property will be turned to cash for the benefit of the pastor of St. James church for high masses for the spiritual benefit of the deceased, her late husband and son.

John Fox, a brother, and Ole Van Goor, LeMars were named executors of the estate. The will was dated 1959.
