James Ryan Funeral Rites Held Thursday

James Ryan, 65, died Monday night at his home, 710 Plymouth street southeast, after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Ryan was born Dec. 21, 1886 in Walton, Ken. He came to Plymouth county 45 years ago and farmed in Stanton township. He married Elizabeth Ahlers, Feb. 14, 1917 in LeMars.

Mr. Ryan retired last March and moved to LeMars. He was a member of the Holy Name society.

Suvivors (sic) are the widow, one son, James, jr., LeMars; three daughters, Sister I. Elizabeth Ann O. S. F. of Dversville, Mrs. Herbert (Agnes) Ludwig of Waterloo and Elanor at home. Three grandchildren, Jimmy Ryan and Steven and Beth Ludwig, also two brothers and four sisters all living in Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 9:30 at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiated at the services. Burial was in the church cemetery. Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
