MRS. A. DEITERING DIED SUDDENLY.
Rites Were Held This Morning At St. Joseph’s Church.

The sudden death of Mrs. Alice Deitering on Monday, March 24th, came as a shock to her friends and neighbors. She was taken to the Sacred Heart hospital after a short sickness and passed away there on Monday.

Alice Madden was born on November 12th, 1894, near Oyens, Iowa, and at the time of her death she had reached the age of 52 years. She has made her home in LeMars since 1936 following her marriage to Gregory Deitering on June 14th. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Schuttpelz residence at 9:30 a.m. this morning with Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph’s cemetery under the direction of Wiltgen’s Funeral home.

Mrs. Deitering leaves to mourn, her husband Gregory; 4 brothers, Frank of Fergus Falls, Minn., Don of DesMoines, James of Akron, Thomas of Pierson; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Dunne, Remsen, Mrs. Calvin Murray, Kingsley, Mrs. Mike Bauler, of Leeds, and Mrs. William McNamara of Kingsley, Iowa. Her parents and one sister, Agnes, preceded her in death.
