DIED AT IOWA CITY.
Pete Etzel Formerly Lived In This County.

The funeral of the late Pete Etzel was held at St. Joseph’s church on Friday morning. Mr. Etzel’s death was due to meningitis, and occurred at Iowa City on June 30th. He was forty-two years, four months and twenty days old at the time of his death. He was raised on a farm four miles southwest of LeMars, and then learned the trade of machinist and worked at his trade here and in Iowa City.

His father was killed here by a train a few years ago. He leaves a mother, brother and seven sisters to mourn his death. He was a single man.

Mrs. Etzel, Mrs. Orban, Misses Elizabeth, Anna, and Lucille Etzel came to attend the funeral.
