Services Held For John Rolling, 83, Retired Farmer

Funeral services for John T. Rolling, 83, who farmed in Marion township until moving to Le Mars 26 years ago, were held Monday morning, and burial was in Calvary cemetery here.

Mr. Rolling died at Sacred Heart Hospital Friday, following an illness of some 11 months.

Born at Tatemore, Iowa, April 29, 1869, Mr. Rolling came to this community at the age of two, and had lived in the area ever since.

His marriage to Theresa Colling took place in Le Mars in February, 1896. She died in 1947, and a brother and three sisters also preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons, Ed and Leo Rolling, both of Le Mars, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home were in charge of funeral arrangements.
