Mrs. John Rolling Called August 8
Funeral Services Conducted This Morning At St. Joseph’s Church
Funeral services were held at nine o’clock this morning for Mrs. John Rolling who passed away at her home at 809 1st St. S. E. On Friday, August 8th. Mrs. Rolling had been in failing health for the past three years. Msgnr. J. D. Fisch officiated at the services in St. Joseph’ Catholic Church. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Wiltgen’s Funeral Home.
Thereasa (sic) Colling was born on November 9, 1875 in Luxembourg to Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Colling. She came to the United States with her parents and on February 12, 1897 she was united in marriage to John Rolling. They made their home on a farm in Merion Township until 20 years ago when they moved to Le Mars. Mr. and Mrs. Rolling celebrated their Golden Wedding a year ago in February. Mrs. Rolling was a past president of the Christian Mothers Club, having served as president of the Christian Mothers Club, having served as president for 17 years, and also a member of the Catholic Ladies Club.
Mrs. Rolling leaves to survive her passing, her husband, John; two sons, Edward and Leo of Le Mars; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Peter and Will Colling of Remsen and four sisters; Mrs. Lucy Heldesch of Remsen, Mrs. Clara Bodie of Howard, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Miller and Mrs. Barbara Grasch of Le Mars. Her parents and brother, Fred precerer (sic) her and death.
